
The knee walls on the 1st floor are being evaluated for repair due to cracks. Please do not attach anything to the knee walls as well as the outside walls of our building. Drilling into the wall compromises the integrity of the structure which can cause leaks, damage, and possibly invalidate our current HOA insurance.
Ninety percent of our building has new or soon to be installed high impact windows. Kudos to everyone that abided by the new laws. Those who have not complied will be sent a reminder notice to do so immediately. Hurricane season is here, folks!
This is just a reminder that Eddie can only do work that is in the Harbour Club C common areas. You will need to seek out a licensed plumber, electrician, or contractor who will pull a permit for major repairs or construction within your unit. A handyman who is licensed can only do small repairs that do not require a permit. We did not want to negate our insurance or get into trouble with the county inspectors with work that was not permitted and inspected upon completion. The east elevator only is for Vendors and movers who can only to be on premises Monday thru Friday between 8 and 5.
The remaining water risers should be completed by the end of the year with Tier 8 currently under construction. There are only 3 more, and our building will have 2025 plumbing, except for the drains. We are beginning to see drain problems arise and will address them as they come up. Where drain leakage occurs, each resident is liable for damage to all units beneath them. Your Board is looking into audible alarms that may be purchased to install under sinks, AC units, water heaters, etc.
